In 2021, I earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Verona, focusing my
dissertation on appearance measurement and analysis using multi-light image collections.
During my doctoral studies, I employed deep learning and machine learning techniques
to address various challenges in material appearance analysis. From September 2021 to
January 31, 2023, I was a Research Fellow in the Department of Cultures and Civilizations
at the University of Verona, serving as the RESP Digital Humanities Project Officer. In this
role, I developed a web content management system that allowed the principal
investigator to make edits and a data management system that enabled researchers to
store, retrieve, and export archaeological data related to Roman emperors, from
Augustus to the Tetrarchs. Subsequently, from February 2023 to January 31, 2024, I held a
research fellowship in the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage at Ca' Foscari
University of Venice. Currently, I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of
Verona. My research interests and publications focus on the measurement, analysis, and
modeling of material appearance, machine learning, and reflectance transformation
imaging, particularly for applications in cultural heritage.
